Well, I guess I got my wish! My water broke at 10:15 am on Wednesday, July 18th. My mom decided to come down on her day off to help me out around the house. As soon as I answered the door, my water broke...and the action began!
We got a hold of Brian and he hurried home. Mom and I packed a few last minute items and ate breakfast while we waited. Contractions began consistently while Bri and I drove to the hospital. By the time we got there, the contractions were about 4 minutes apart and I was already 4 cm dilated! Kathy, our nurse through the 9 months, brought me over to the hospital and got us set up in our room. Within an hour and a half, they started me on the epidural...talk about AWESOME!!! 40 minutes later, I felt nothing at all. The laboring went beautifully (because I couldn't feel anything) and the pushing went even better. The doctors were so impressed I delivered an almost 11 pound baby in an hour!
Ellie is so beautiful. All of our families were there to welcome her minutes after her birth. Her grandparents are so in love with her and her Uncle Ryan and Auntie Leslie call daily to check up on their new niece!
God is truly awesome... To bless Brian and I with this perfect person and give us a day we will truly never forget!
